Meet the Team

Michael McDougal

Owner

Michael a former Force Recon Marine, is a lifelong martial artist who has extensively trained in a number of martial arts. Starting with his father’s boxing and Army judo, he formally trained in GoJu-ryu and Isshin-ryu Karate, Chung Moo Quan, and Kung Fu San Soo. He currently trains in Krav Maga, Mastro Defense Systems and FMA. Michael’s focus has always been personal defense applicable to the modern world.

Brandon Chandler

BJJ Professor

Professor Brandon is a third-degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with 23 years of experience under the founder of the Farm Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Danny Richards in Colorado. Additionally, Brandon wrestled for 9 years and trained 8 years in Muay Thai Kickboxing. He was the Instructor at Tulsa Top Team for MMA and Jiu Jitsu competitors before being the Professor for Dark Horse Dojo in 2012. The lineage line for Dark Horse Dojo Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is Mitsuyo Maeda > Carlos Gracie > Helio Gracie > Rolls Gracie > Romero Cavalcanti > Otavio Couto > Danny Richards > Brandon Chandler.

"Cheetah" Chase McDougal

Coach

Chase has spent 27 of his 32 years studying and experiencing the martial arts. He is one of the youngest to be promoted to Master in Kung Fu San Soo, Chase also holds a Black Belt in Krav Maga, Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, is a certified FMA instructor and Certified Level 2 Mastro Defense System (MDS) instructor. Chase believes everyone should strive to harness their own power. Learning martial arts is the quickest road to self-mastery.

Brandon "The Storm" McDougal

Coach

Brandon is a man of few words with an appetite for destruction. His jouney into the martial arts began from birth in his mother's gymnastics academy in Signal Hill California where his father taught martial arts. He found practical application of San Soo when bullies struck at the end of junior high and the begining of high school. Brandon turned to San Shou competitions to test himself. He has since competed professionally in kickboxing and MMA. He is a Master of Kung Fu San Soo, Black Belt in Krav Maga, 3rd Level FMA, Purple Belt in BJJ and a 2nd Level Instuctor MDS.

St. Brendan Grant

Coach

Brendan is a versatile martial artist with extreme training in Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, San Soo, Brazilian JiuJitsu, Krav Maga and Mastro Defense Systems. Born in Riverside California, Brendan began his journey in martial arts as the age of 10. Driven by passion for self-improvement and mastering diverse combat styles. Brendan’s path has been shaped by perseverance, dedication and a deep respect for the martial
arts.

Craig Blacklock

Coach

Craig Blacklock grew up in the small rural town, From a young age Craig began defending - himself & his sister against bullies & the things that come along with being set apart financially.
From that point on it set Craig on the path of defending others & eventually into martial arts & fighting.
Craig has dedicated a lifetime to protecting & defending others.

What sets Craigs training apart from most everyone in the industry is his
Law enforcement from 2000-2006
Developed top robbery preparedness training program for financial institutions & pharmacies.
1st Robbery Solutions
Has done private sector security, body guarding & civilian operational on many levels.
Developed a program For churches to help make them more secure through his security & consulting co.
Protective Stance
Is a part of a fugitive recovery team & has trained high end military, law enforcement , world champions in fighting & Jiu Jitsu .
